Badminton Tournament a Success!

The 2006, First Annual, Badminton Tournament was executed successfully this weekend on the banks of the mighty Genesee River. Congratulations to the winning team, The Lady & the Prince of Cream! Congratulations are also due to the "best-dressed" winners, Tim Goodwin and Rhiannon Casale! Look for a recap of the event, including photos, here soon. Also please send us any photos you may have of the event. In the meantime, you may visit the "current" events page to review info about the tourney.

We've been informed that The Concerned Citizens for a Racquet Free World has begun a city-wide smear campaign targeted against the Antiquated Sporting Society's First Annual Badminton Tourney. We've made this page to chronicle this developing conflict.

British Deputy Prime Minister facing criticism for playing croquet

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott is facing criticism from Labour MPs and peers for playing croquet when he was standing in for Tony Blair. Some have begun talking publicly about replacing Mr Prescott. The official stance of the Society is of course to never criticise a gentleman for playing croquet, no matter what his other responsibilities.
